June 13, 2018
The 28th Annual Volley For SERV Tennis Tournament, the major fundraiser for SERV Behavioral Health System Inc., will take place June 13, 2018 at Cherry Valley Country Club in Skillman from 7:45 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.
Members of the VFS Committee, chaired by Ted Golfinopoulos, will again lend their talents to make this time-honored event another successful fundraiser. Volley For SERV raises funds for exceptional programs for special-needs youth and adults throughout New Jersey. It is a daylong event featuring a six-division doubles tennis tournament followed by an evening reception with cocktails and hors d'oeuvres, dinner, open bar, live entertainment, silent auction, raffle drawing, player awards, door prizes, and more.
Proceeds from the event will benefit programs for SERV consumers who are recovering from a severe and persistent mental illness and/or coping with intellectual/developmental disabilities.
Volley For SERV Committee members include SERV board members and tennis players Ted Golfinopoulos and Andre Caldini; tennis players Beth Silverman-Bauman, Ben Branche, Tony Coventry, Gwen Guidice, Constantine Larigakis, Donna Nagel, Deb Osgood, Charles Villano Jr. and Rick White; and SERV staff members Ida Doolan, Majken Mechling and Regina Widdows. If you would like to join the committee, contact Ida Doolan at the number below.
The cost for an individual VFS player is $210, or $400 for a team, which includes the tournament, courtside lunch, VFS tennis shirt, a commemorative team photo, giveaways, and the dinner reception. Reception-only tickets are $105 each.
