Raymond E. Chong, MD

Dr. Raymond Ee-Mook Chong is a Board-certified adult/child/adolescent psychiatrist.

Dr. Chong is a graduate of Rutgers University-New Jersey Medical School. He completed his psychiatry residency at Rutgers University-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, where he was the recipient of the 2005-2006 Resident Teacher of the Year, as elected by medical students, and was Chief Resident in 2006-2007. He did his undergraduate work in biological sciences at Cornell University in Ithaca, NY.

A Diplomat of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, Dr. Chong has been working in the field of outpatient adult/child/adolescent psychiatry since 2010. He is also a consulting psychiatrist for Gateway School in Carteret, NJ, a therapeutic school for children with special needs. He continues to teach as a voluntary faculty member at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.

Dr. Chong’s research experience includes the investigation of “Prescription Opioid Medication-Related Admissions to a University Teaching Hospital” under Dr. Jeffrey Berman, MD., Department of Psychiatry, Robert Wood Johnson Medical School; and “Internet Use Among Psychiatric Patients,” a Grand Rounds Presentation.

He is affiliated with the American Psychiatric Association and the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.

Office hours: Mondays, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Tuesdays through Thursdays, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Fridays, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Our Fees

Founded by the League of Women Voters for the community of Clifton, we remain dedicated to making superior mental healthcare available to everyone in the community.

Accordingly, we work collaboratively with our clients to make the cost of good care manageable. A variety of private and public insurance programs are accepted. For those who do not have insurance, we have a sliding scale based on income.
